- Several rounds of thunderstorms today and tonight will track
southeast across the region and bring another 1 to 2 inches of
rain to most parts of Somerset county. Localized additional
rainfall amounts of up to 3 inches are possible where multiple
storms train over the same area.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Youghiogheny River at Connellsville.
* WHEN...Until this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flooding begins in the vicinity of Yough
Park. At 14.0 feet, Several inches of water floods basements of
about 30 homes along left bank. River is bankful along the left
bank just downstream from the Crawford Street Bridge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 11.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then
fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.8
feet on 01/12/2005.
