thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is
1 to 2 inches in 1 hour in the heaviest thunderstorms. Additional
rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Special Weather Statement issued August 11 at 11:48AM EDT by NWS Indianapolis INAt 1148 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Marion to near Swayzee. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Muncie, Anderson, Elwood, Alexandria, Yorktown, Greentown, Albany,
Frankton, Eaton, Daleville, Summitville, Gaston, Selma, Orestes, and
Ball State University.
This includes Interstate 69 between mile markers 235 and 252.
