* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may
be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1035 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
a line of intense thunderstorms with rainfall rates of 2 to 3
inches per hour moving through the area. Localized flooding of
roadways and poor drainage areas will occur shortly after the
onset of rainfall.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Arlington
Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Skokie, Des Plaines,
Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Mount Prospect,
Wheaton and Hoffman Estates.

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Manhattan around 1045 AM CDT.
Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
